The reclamation works we undertake are carried out in accordance with the contract specifications with minimal tolerances using appropriate technologically advanced land based equipment that are fully serviced and maintained by our mobile workshops. As a value –add service, UGE has the in-house capability to provide soil improvement services for both the reclaimed or existing land.
Dredging and reclamation capability includes, pre and post survey works, designing of the Construction Environment Management, monitoring for the compliance and proactive QHSE program throughout the project, periodic reporting of progress to the client and on time execution and delivery.
Removal of material from the bottom of lakes, rivers, harbors and other water bodies. Most dredging is done to maintain or deepen navigation channels, anchorages or berthing areas for the safe passage of boats and ships. Dredging of contaminated areas may also be performed for the express purpose of reducing the exposure of marine biota and humans to contaminants and/or to prevent the spread of contaminants to other areas of the water body.
